Our 3D printing production process
Every PRINEN product is created with modern 3D printing technology and care. Here we give you a look behind the scenes of our production.
1. Design & modelling
Every product begins with an idea. The 3D models are created with professional CAD software. We place particular emphasis on functionality, aesthetics and printability. Every model goes through several optimisation loops before it enters production.
2. Material selection
Depending on the product and intended use, we use suitable filaments:
- PLA (polylactide) — a bio-based plastic, suitable for many decorative items and gifts
- PETG — a robust material for suitable everyday applications
- TPU — a flexible material for suitable special applications
3. Slicing & print preparation
The 3D model is divided into thin layers (slicing). We optimise every setting — from layer height to print temperature and infill structure. This gives us consistent surface quality and stability.
4. The printing process
Every part is made individually. The printing time depends on size and complexity and is usually between 1 and 12 hours. Throughout the process we monitor progress to avoid failed prints.
5. Post-processing
After printing, careful post-processing takes place:
- Removal of support structures
- Sanding and smoothing of surfaces
- Assembly of multi-part products
- Quality control: every piece is carefully inspected
6. Packaging & shipping
We package the products appropriately for shipping.
